What can you offer?

I have been a keynote speaker, panelist and moderator; happy to speak on behalf of a city or company to advocate for their interests.

In addition, I am a professional coach and can assist with speech preparation and media interviews. My expertise includes consulting on shaping the format of meetings and conferences to make them more interactive, more exciting and more effective in winning results.

Speaking topics:

  • The evolution of cities
  • The opportunities ahead to address global urbanization
  • The future of technology to create healthy, happy communities
  • Relationships and the power of collaboration in cities to accelerate investments in new technology

1. How to Build Community Identity

More than city branding, this presentation shows the power of discovering a city’s assets, communicating them to the world and leveraging those assets in new ways to engage, connect and shape a city’s future. Filled with expert examples and “how to” recommendations, the presentation is an interactive conversation that inspires the audience to “steal the good ideas” and put them to use in their community.

2. How Innovative Technology Creates Successful Cities

This presentation bridges the digital, physical and human experience in cities. It explores the potential of a community—all the elements including energy, water, waste, environment, transportation, communications, the built environment, data, health, safety, security, education and more. Focused on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) the presentation demonstrates real world case studies of new technology solving real world problems.

3. Global Urbanization and the Power of Electrification

The global urban population will reach 10 billion at the end of this century and by 2050, 8.5 billion will live in cities. The opportunity to embrace the increasing density and the demands of this transformation can only be realized through the integration of urban systems that create true engagement and coordination among utilities, cities, regulators, and the entire ecosystem of a community. This presentation informs the audience of the growing demands, challenges and possibilities to strengthen the energy infrastructure, especially in developing countries. We map out lessons learned and show how they can be replicated.

Ideal audiences:

  • City/Community Conferences
  • Future City Meetings
  • Technology Conferences that focus on implementation and social benefits—sustainability, resilience, collaboration, marketing and branding, communications, energy and public safety.

Sandra has the best “rolodex” I have ever encountered. She has an unmatched ability to create and maintain long-term relationships with our country’s most important civic leaders. She has a special talent for listening, for assessing needs, and for communicating with those leaders in terms they understand.
