About Malcolm Allan
Malcolm Allan (interview) is the President of Bloom Consulting, a leading country, region and city brand strategy consultancy based in Madrid, Lisbon and London. He has qualifications in town planning and civic design and development economics, has worked in the UK for both central and local governments, and as a private consultant.
Malcolm founded Placebrands with Simon Anholt in 2002, the first dedicated place brand agency in Europe, where he was Managing Director until 2006. He has written extensively on place brand strategy for The Place Brand Observer and for City Nation Place, where he is a regular speaker at its annual Global Conference in London.
Malcolm is a long-time member of TPBO’s global panel of place brand specialists.
